Welcome Back!

A Few Announcements for the Week:

DOUBLE CHECK BOOKS & MATERIALS: Take a moment to check that you have all of the books for semester two.  In addition, for science classes, look over the materials lists for this semester's experiments.

TUTOR TIME ADJUSTMENTS: I invite all instructors to look over the schedule for their tutor times.  Consider any changes in your schedule and ask for student input in classes, then make adjustments to your times, as you see fit, for the new semester.

RAISING THE BAR: Here is a challenges for all students, instructors, and parents as we move into second semester. We have gotten pretty good at the challenges we set for ourselves over the course of the first semester, and, as a result, it is easy to become a bit complacent about our work.    Let's make a point of raising the bar.
Instructors--Grade a bit harder and expect a bit more.  Add new energy and initiatives to your class times.
Students: Step it up a notch.  Improve your work, organize even better, manage time in new ways.
Parents: Be more supportive, more aware, and more proactive.  We can all be better; let us work to become so, for the glory of God.

COMPS: Several classes have final drafts due this week.  Don't miss your deadlines!

POEM of the WEEK: "Out to Old Aunt Mary's" (excerpt) by James Whitcomb Riley (1849-1916)

Student and instructor contributions for "Poem of the Week" are welcome.  Send a message to Mr. Rolling with "Poem of the Week," and the title and author of the poem you would like to recite.
