Physical Education teaches the virtues through discipline, training, and sport. This course combines requirements for participation in healthy physical activity with some light reading in philosophy and theology touching on what it means to be embodied and the value of sport and physical achievement.

The Oxrose Academy Health & Nutrition course is a half-credit course required for high school graduation. The course combines our Christian understanding of the human person as body and soul to explore healthy living habits within a Catholic worldview. This is a project-based course that engages students to put into practice real-life habits and that places the student in conversation with his or her parents about healthy choices in life. For example, students will evaluate their eating habits, will create an individualized exercise plan, will create their own first-aid kit, and other projects that put into effect what they are learning.
