TIP of the AFTERNOON: Multi-tasking does not work! To improve your speed, to improve how well you can concentrate, to improve how much you get out of reading, attending class, and watching lectures you MUST remove distractions and focus your attention. Background music, messaging, cell phones, and so forth are all bad for full concentration. Do one thing, fully and intensively, for a set period of time, then take a break and let your mind process. Then repeat.
MESSAGING REMINDER: I would like to remind everyone that messaging is a privilege at Oxrose. If students misuse messaging or do not demonstrate respect to others in group chats, students may lose the option to message freely. If you have questions, please reach out.
PATRONAL FEAST OF HERONSHAW: Saint Michael, named "Who is like GOD?" protector of humanity, patron of House Heronshaw; pray for us. Saint Michael's feast day, Michaelmas, is celebrated on September 29, 2026.
⏰ REMEDIAL DAY: Monday, Oct. 5, 2026 is a "remedial day"--a day to catch up quizzes or work, fix outstanding problems, and set things in order BEFORE we begin the holiday. Parents will be contacted by email today, Tuesday September 29th, if you are REQUIRED to attend study hall hours with the Deans. You will receive a phone call from Mrs. Mary tomorrow. Attendance will be taken, and all work will be caught up to help you stay on track for a successful school year. The Deans' hours of availability will be posted today as well, so you may plan ahead.
FALL HOLIDAY: There are no LIVE classes, tutor times, or course activities the rest of the week--School is closed Oct. 5-9.
