Oxrose Meet-Up Opportunity, March 4-6

Mr. Walsh, Mr. Rolling, and several students will be camping at Sequoya State Park from March 4-6 and participating in the Clear Creek Abbey Work-Day on Saturday, March 5.

The work-day includes the opportunity to join the monks at Holy Mass, meals, work, and vespers.

Back at camp, we will also enjoy some good community and campfires on Friday and Saturday nights, closing out the weekend with Mass at the Abbey on Sunday, before departing for home.

How to Participate: Anyone planning to attend should:

1. Register for the work-day at the abbey website HERE.

2Housing: Make arrangements for a place to stay.

The current group will be camping in the "Choctaw Tent" camp at Sequoya (site CTO44).  We can easily add tents or more sites at that spot.  Booking is HERE or contact Mr. Rolling to add-on.

There are also cabins and a lodge at Sequoya.  Clear Creek has guest houses, but we did not contact them, assuming those would be full for the work-day.

3. Notify Mr. Rolling via email (the.rolling.acres.school@gmail.com)

4.
Food & Gear: Once we know who will be there, we can make arrangements for food.  Oxrose has a large number of tents and sleeping bags for anyone who lacks gear--just ask.

We'll bring a guitar and a Lenten alternative to marshmallows (if we can think of one).  Come if you can!  What better way to start Lent than to live like Benedictines for a day with a noble band of Oxrosians--I hope to see you there.
Ora et labora!
God bless,
Mr. Rolling
