Welcome Back!

This week we find ourselves at one of the four seasonal markers of the liturgical life of the Church--the Spring Ember Days.  They fall on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.  These are days of intensive fasting and thanksgiving--perfect for ramping up our Lenten disciplines.  Find more information at the Catholic Encyclopedia.

LEAGUE, ACT IV: Be sure to get all of the challenges you completed marked as done.  We will be tallying up the completions for House Points on Tuesday.  Act V is coming soon, as well as our annual Lenten Challenges.

WISDOM of the SAINTS
"For me, prayer means launching out of the heart towards God; it means lifting up one's eyes, quite simply, to Heaven; a cry of grateful love from the crest of joy or the trough of despair; it's a vast supernatural force which opens out my heart, and binds me close to Jesus."
Saint Therese of Lisieux

POEM of the WEEK
"I Love My God" by Jeanne-Marie de la Motte-Guyon.  Recited by Michael Maxian.

Student and instructor contributions for "Poem of the Week" are welcome.  Send a message to Mr. Rolling with "Poem of the Week," and the title and author of the poem you would like to recite.
