> Review Quizzes & Mini-Exams: Many classes have these items on the agenda this week. These are NOT like ordinary quizzes! They count for much more and usually have deadlines. Look at your agendas carefully to be sure you treat them correctly.
>COMP Deadlines: This week Comp 2 & 4/5 have final drafts due. There is NO late work allowed. Be timely!
>Chess Club Sign Up: Deadline is September 21!

>League Kick Off: Complete the first challenge and attend the House Sorting on Wednesday at 4:30 PM. See "The League" on your course list for details.
>Lucy, Ashes, Dove, and Cross: This week the Church prays one of the four sets of Ember Days (Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) that occur throughout the year. These are seasonal "mini-Lents" that focus on thanksgiving for natural goods and atonement for sins. They follow the feasts of Saint Lucy, Ash Wednesday, Pentecost, and the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (Sept. 14). See the entry at CATHOLIC CULTURE for more information.
